In Full Bloom

Everything in full bloom. – stylized poppies and pansies amid grass and leaves in front of an ivy-covered stone wall – a kind of magical garden.

The flowers, leaves and grasses are created through free cut shapes, a play with colors – like a puzzle. Some leaves are applied on, others get their shape through quilting.

The materials used are Dupioni silks and hand-dyed satin fabrics.

Organic quilt textures underline the respective flower or leaf motif.

The contours were reinforced and staged by sewing on spinning yarns (couching), accents were set with Swarovski crystals.
